In-Custody Death Investigation - 03-11-2023
On 11/30/2022, a 44-year-old man was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for several counts of Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Minor, stemming from a San Jose Police Department Investigation.
The "30x30 Pledge" initiative

On Sunday, March 5th, 2023, at approximately 9:58 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Rancho San Antonio Open Space located at 22500 Cristo Rey Drive for a report of a tree that had fallen on a female hiker.

On 02/07/2023 at approximately 11:30am, Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a collision involving a vehicle and bicycle located in the 10000 block of N Tantau Avenue, in the city of Cupertino.

Attempted murder on deputy arrest
On 01/28/2023 at approximately 8:00am, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Rutland Avenue at Parkmoor Avenue, in San Jose.

On 12/25/2022, at approximately 9:30 AM, deputies responded to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose for a report of an unresponsive male lying on the ground outside of the hospital.

This afternoon, Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested suspect Manuel Rodriguez for murder for selling a lethal amount of fentanyl to his victim, who died as a result of the overdose.
