The Sheriff’s Office Personnel Division operates as a comprehensive Service Center, dedicated to delivering all facets of Human Resource support to every employee and retiree within our office. This division is integral to the smooth functioning of our organization, ensuring that our workforce is well-supported, and our operations run efficiently.
Key responsibilities of the Personnel Division include:
Backgrounds and Recruiting Unit: This unit is pivotal in attracting and vetting new talent, ensuring that only the most qualified individuals join our ranks.
Health and Injury Prevention Unit: Focused on the well-being of our staff, this unit implements programs and initiatives to maintain and improve employee health and safety.
Reserve and Youth Cadet Programs: These programs are designed to engage and develop future law enforcement professionals, fostering a pipeline of dedicated and trained individuals ready to serve our community.
The Personnel Division is a part of the Administrative Services Bureau and reports directly to the Director of Administrative Services. The division is led by a Captain, who is supported by a Human Resources Manager responsible for overseeing all HR functions, and a Lieutenant who supervises the Backgrounds and Recruiting Unit, Health and Injury Prevention Unit, and the Reserve and Youth Cadet Programs.
