Deliver packages to family members, friends in jail

Gift packs purchases can be made, and money can be deposited into incarcerated person’s account through the Online Commissary System

Incarcerated persons may purchase a variety of commissary items to be delivered to them in their housing units. The items available for purchase include, but are not limited to:

  • food items

  • hygiene products

  • stationery

  • reading glasses

  • personal items

The Sheriff’s Office does not receive any commission from commissary sales. The cost of commissary items is comparable to convenience store pricing and is purchased using money from an incarcerated person's account. Money is maintained on an incarcerated person's account from cash that they had at the time of arrest and through subsequent deposits from family and friends. Gift packs purchases can also be made online to be delivered to an incarcerated person. 

Ways to deposit money into an incarcerated person's account

  1. Accepts cash, Visa and MasterCard credit or debit card 

  2. Funds available within 24 hours 

  3. Located at the Main Jail and Elmwood lobbies 

Follow these steps to deposit money via telephone.

  1. Enter the facility locator number followed by the # key. The facility code is 295110. 

  2. Enter the depositor’s active account log in number. Please note that first time depositors will NOT have this number. They first need to set up a new account at www.touchpayonline.com. Or you can call 1 (866) 204-1603. 

  3. When depositors are prompted for the inmate ID number, please use the inmate's booking number (CEN#).

  1. Inmates’ families/friends can avoid paying a deposit fee by sending a money order to the facility that the inmate is housed at: 

    1. For Main Jail mail to: Inmate Services, 150 W. Hedding Street, San Jose, CA 95110 

    2. For Elmwood mail to: Inmate Services, 701 S. Abel Street, Milpitas, CA 95035 

  2. Make the cashier's check or money order payable to: Santa Clara County Department of Correction. They must include the inmate’s name + PFN number and sender’s contact information (in case there is no record of the inmate or the inmate has been released). Mail without a return address will be rejected.

Purchasing gift packs

You can now go online and order items to be shipped into the custody facilities through iCare www.icaregifts.com.

Products offered online are the same products that are offered to inmates. However, not all items offered to inmates may be available online, and items are bundled together rather than sold individually. Credit card and debit card payments are accepted. Products will be delivered on regular delivery days.
