How often do you have a written and agility test?
The Sheriff’s Office has typically two written and agility tests a month from January through September then one a month from October through December.
Is there an age limit?
As long as you meet the minimum qualifications and can pass the written and agility test, you are eligible to be hired.
What is the minimum age?
The Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) requires that you be 21 years of age.
Do you need to be a U.S. Citizen?
You do not have to be a U.S. Citizen to apply for a job as a Peace Officer in California.
